Privacy Policy

The Simple Version
We respect your privacy. VectorAlpha is an open-source project that doesn't collect personal data, sell anything, or track you across the web. This website is as privacy-friendly as we can make it.
Cookies
We don’t set any cookies on this site. Because we don’t use cookies (or similar storage for tracking), we don’t display a cookie consent banner.
What We Collect
Nothing personally identifiable. We use privacy‑friendly, cookie‑less analytics to understand aggregate usage, which tells us things like:
- How many people visit our pages
- Which countries visitors are from (country-level only)
- What browsers/devices are used
- Which pages are popular
Our analytics do not use cookies and do not track individual users. They are privacy‑focused by design and do not require a consent banner. We rely on a legitimate interest basis to understand aggregate site usage. Do Not Track (DNT), where enabled by the browser, is respected.
What We Store Locally
Your browser stores your theme preference (light/dark mode) in localStorage. This stays on your device and is never sent to any server.
Open Source Code
When you contribute to our open-source projects on GitHub, your contributions are public and subject to GitHub's privacy policy. We only see what's publicly visible on your GitHub profile.
Contact
When you email us, we'll only use your email to respond to you. We don't add you to any mailing lists or share your information.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Since we're an open-source project focused on building tools rather than collecting data, we don't expect significant changes.
